Independent with Autism had a wonderful time teaming up with Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods to bring you “Extraordinary Artists: a celebration of artists with autism.” Our artists shared truly fantastic art with the community! Thank you to our artists and the Brushwood Center for bringing this event to fruition!

To empower children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder / Asperger’s Syndrome to be their best.
We understand that the availability of services diminishes as people on the spectrum grow. We bridge the gap by offering guidance in developing the life skills that adulthood requires.

We work with the family unit to advocate on behalf of the individual with Autism.
We help companies successfully employ people with ASD and train first responders to communicate and handle crisis intervention.

We encourage teens & kids on the spectrum to become more independent at home, school & in social situations.
We support schools and employers in creating plans for progress.
We specialize in training people who come in contact with individuals on the spectrum to equip them with effective tools.
At the close of the previous year and the start of the new, many of us review our routines and take note of our life goals. With great optimism, we set resolutions designed to align our goals with our routines. Keeping a positive attitude going throughout the year can be difficult.
